More importantly, THORA’s release is single audio and from an HDTV source, rather than a Blu-ray (since there is none yet). That’s my justification for encoding it.

there are 2 1080p encodes i know of as well, one of them probably uses the same source thora used but the other uses a newer, sharper source capture unfortunately it has a little blocking during some scenes

I am happy to have a nice dual audio dvd version.
Thanks for this!

This is such a great movie, too poor it didn’t win OSCAR animation.
You’re such a big fan of Glibi productions. So am I :)
Hope you will rip Glibi’s from HD source, if you’re afford to.
BTW, may you sub Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea? It’s in cinema for half a year, but I don’t see fansub interests in that fantastic movies. And please have both torrent and any popular direct
download site (except non-resume for free user like rapidshare). I’m very interesting and really want to see you works, but it’s very hard for me to reach peers in europe or america since I’m in Asia. So, would you might, please?
First, being in theaters is different than being available on disc. Camera grabs from theater screens are crappy, and I don’t do crappy. When it comes out on disc, then we’ll start talking. Second, I don’t know Japanese. NPC releases aren’t fansubs. I rip subs from R1 DVDs, make some typographical changes, give it a nice typesetting, and that’s what you get. I wish it were otherwise. I’d love to be able to translate, but as of yet I can’t.
