Mmm … our first flame as a group. That’s fun. If, Mr. X, you actually have something valuable to say about the video, you know, as in ways we went wrong, please tell. Otherwise please refrain from commenting further on our releases.

At last a release with good video quality. This movie so deserves it! Unfortunately most well-known fansub groups, like Niizk or KAA, failed to get proper DVD source. So, thank you NPC guys, you made a truly great gift to us Miyazaki fans ^^

I don’t know why DVDBeaver would say that Ghibli’s R2 release looks best. Even if those R2 colors were how it looked in the studio, the R1 colors and the overall look of the film is so much better in the R1 it’s unbelievable. This is the definitive encode right here…just beautiful.

thank you, it’s the best dvd encode out there. after seeing the mononoke hd pictures of the “Joe Hisaishi in Budokan – Miyazaki Anime to Tomo ni Ayunda 25 Nenkan” blu-ray, i actually think that the blu-ray version of mononoke will be closer to the r1 release as far as color.

sorry for the double posting, i think i was tired last night. you have the best r1 encode, but after comparing the r1 and r2 colors, i prefer the r2 colors. the r1 colors look like cheap computer graphics imo. they don’t look as organic. i hope the blu-ray release will be more like the r2 colors.

What a piss-poor attempt at an encode. Go back and learn a thing or two about encoding.
